For many years Wincham Wharf has been a 'working boatyard' as well as a successful sales operation. If you would like to see what we have available on site or require any quotations please click here.
Wincham Wharf is one of the oldest complexes on the Trent & Mersey canal. The three story wharf building constructed in 1774, three years before the opening of the canal. The object being to service the building of the canal side facility. The building, now a public house, still has three floors and retains the original pulley and hoist system used to raise sacks between differing floor levels.
In his forty years of stewardship, Dave has been instrumental in bringing the wharf back to its original glory. After a period running trip boats and some of the early electric boats, the wharf has now been reverted back to a working boatyard with an ever increasing boat repair, sales and brokerage operation. Always innovative, a new range of wider narrowboats, the 9' Pioneer class, will show how a boat built to the maximum width for this section of the Trent and Mersey canal can offer luxury cruising or live aboard comfort.
