Avocet is a Traditional Style narrowboat built in 2001 by Mike Heywood and powered by a 2 cylinder Kingfisher KD26 Diesel engine in its own engine room.

New kitchen & appliances fitted in February 2025, Avocet is ready to cruise.
Entering from the stern takes you into an aft cabin which features an ‘L’ shaped built in seat which can be used as a single bed. Next is the engine room which has a side door & houses the Kingfisher KD26 diesel engine. This area also houses the electric panel & calorifier which heats the water for shower & sinks.
Moving forward, an off-corridor bathroom with vanity sink & cupboard, porta potty toilet and a large quadrant shower.
Next is a fixed bed & wardrobe space.
The galley is fitted with new lpg flame safe cooker with 4 hobs, Oven and grill, new 12v Inlander fridge, sink/drainer, ample worktop and storage space breakfast bar & 2 stools.
The front cabin is the lounge area which currently has 2 tub chairs, Morso Swift stove, TV and storage cupboard. Double doors lead out onto a good sized well deck
