Houdini is a 50′ traditional stern, all steel Narrowboat, built in 1990 and one of only twelve tug
style boats built by Silverend. Her external paintwork is in reasonable condition with no visible
signs of flaking however it would benefit from some polish and T-Cut. Internally the traditional
layout features a boatman’s cabin at the stern with a solid fuel stove and 2 berths. She has her own
engine-room with side-hatches, which is home to a 1938 Gardner 1L2 single cylinder diesel engine.
There is a shower-room which also features a vanity basin, taps and W/C. Her galley is fitted out in
pine and furnished with a Vanette hob, oven and grill, GAZ refrigerator and a Paloma gas boiler
which provides the hot water. Her saloon is part pine panelled and benefits from a solid fuel stove
and comfortable seating for up to four adults, which can be converted to a two berth bed. There is a
cratch cover to the bow, accessed from the saloon via hardwood doors.
