Mark joined our team in May 2019, To say boating is in his blood would be an understatement. His Great Great Grandfather was a boat builder, his Great Grandfather was a Master Mariner (who captained masted merchant ships across the world in the late Victorian era), and his father was a blacksmith at Liverpool Docks in the 1950s, maintaining the dredging fleet for the Mersey and Docks Harbour Board. When not working at Wincham Wharf, he is occupied by his energetic 7 year-old son – Freddie – who keeps him young at heart! Mark has a strong interest in art both as a Collector and as a producer of his own works.
Unusually, for a boat of this length, Moonraker has a fixed double bed (rather than a dinette converting to a bed) so it’s practical for use as a liveaboard. The saloon is a blank canvas, which enables the buyer to put their own ‘mark’ on it
Moonraker is a 45′ Springer Trad Stern Narrowboat with full overplating on hull sides and baseplate with an inboard Lister Diesel engine. From the stern enter through a cabin with the engine below deck boards. Forward is a fixed double bed with ample storage underneath. Forward is an off-corridor shower room with vanity basin and Thetford cassette toilet. Forward is a galley with integrated gas hob, grill, oven and fridge, which is open to the saloon with seating and a solid fuel stove. A door from the saloon leads to the bow, which provides an exterior seated space.
Moonraker is available for viewing here at Wincham Wharf. Please call Narrowboats Ltd for a viewing or for more information.
