Further Information

Striding Edge is a very well cared for one-owner, 45′ Cruiser stern narrowboat, built in 2002 by John White Boatbuilders of Liverpool. Repainted eighteen months ago, she is of the reverse layout interior style, fitted out to a high standard by the original builders. Being well equipped with comfortable accommodation and generous storage, the boat is being offered for sale complete with rear cover, furnishings, crockery, utensils, cruising kit – pins, mallet, maps etc., ready to cruise.

The stern deck has cushioned bench seating and a helmsman’s style seat/stool in addition to the usual tiller and throttle controls. Below this deck is a spacious engine bay, housing a Vetus M4.17 diesel engine, PRM gearbox, fuel tank, battery banks, charging system and calorifier – the whole of which are in outstanding condition.

Double steel doors at the stern lead down steps to the cedar lined saloon, which features a wood burning stove, adjustable table and wheeled chairs and a radiator heated by an Eberspächer diesel boiler. There is a floor level corner cupboard, shelf and cupboard above which houses a radio-CD player, 12V distribution board and 240V RCD breaker and shore/ship charge isolator.

Adjacent to the saloon is the galley, featuring solid wood drawer fronts and cupboard doors, built-in eye-level Vanette oven and grill combination, 4 ring hob, sink with mixer tap and a 12V fridge. A nice feature of the galley is the twin-door hatch set opposite, allowing extra light and air to enter – there is a made-to-measure perspex window provided, ideal for allowing the light in and keeping the weather out.

A private shower room / WC is located between the galley and double berth bedroom. There is a Thetford cassette toilet, corner fixed vanity basin with taps and cupboard, radiator, small cupboard and shelf and a tiled shower cubicle with mixer style tap. A small extractor fan is located in the ceiling, which comes on with the light.

The fixed double berth bedroom benefits from an overhead cupboard with lighting underneath, a full height double cupboard, under bed storage drawers, a radiator and a porthole window. A secure, wood lined, steel door leads from here to the bow with cratch cover.

Striding Edge is located at our Wincham Wharf, she is in the water and available for viewing and test – please contact us for further information or to arrange a viewing.
