Further Information
The Magpie is a 56′ all steel, trad stern narrowboat built in 1976 by Harborough Marine. As with many Harborough boats, she originally had a GRP cabin but on Magpie this has been replaced with a 4mm steel cabin. As can be seen from the pictures she is clearly a project boat but offers a blank canvas for someone to make their own. Magpie is a traditional styled boat and benefits from a Boatmans cabin, of which much is still in place. Continuing the traditional theme is the Lister ST3 Diesel engine situated in its own engine room and with traditional controls. Many items have been saved and will come with the boat which the new owner may be able to re-use in the re-fit. Externally, the vessel was overplated in 2003 and the weed hatch was replated in 2008
Magpie is currently on hardstanding making for an easy visual inspection or survey of the hull. She is not located on site so viewing is strictly by appointment. Please call or email for more information or to arrange a viewing.
